Map/Location view

Instead of the normal "Heads-up" display in most games, how about something like what SCP:Containment Breach has? A device that you equip in your hand to look at that goes along with what person/role you have. (simply different looks and details depending who you are/where you find such devices.) This might get the player more focused about their surroundings and create interesting situations where they have to quickly look at their device manually while running from something/some one.

If you are referring to the S-Nav, yes we do plan on implementing such a device. The HUD will be extremely minimal, the ammo count you will have to check by pulling out your magazine/checking your clip in a revolver to give an example. The only interface you will generally see is the inventory hotbar and the actual inventory.

There will also be planning maps for MTF forces, on top of the S-nav.

Will there be any sort information besides location on these S-navs?

Potentially. ;)

Sorry for necroposting, but i would suggest maps that are hanging on some walls (Like in a security office) but only show the sector.

Dunno if this is already planed, would be nice, especialy if you dont have an S-Nav.

It would be good to have a map at the start with the information that YOUR class need to know, for example class D could have on the map the way to infermery and cells, young researchers could have an euclid SCPs map and the exits while if you are an old researcher you can have all the site on the map.

So this is very realistic (because you know what your class should know) and you can generate random maps without the problem of having MTF/researchers just going around randomly.
